Board of Directors

Teri Lysak, Board Chairperson
Teri has been teaching for Cascadia Wild and various primitive skills gatherings for over 4 years. She holds a MS in Forest Science, and previous to joining Cascadia Wild worked for WA Dept of Natural Resources for five years as a field forester and also providing small private landowner assistance for the region, and worked seasonally for the Forest Service for six years doing forest surveying, firefighting, and as a wildlife technician. Her teaching experience comes from 2 years of teaching high school science with the Peace Corps in Fiji. Teri loves wandering through the woods looking at trees, living as simply as possible in her small cabin in the woods, and bringing together the various people in the environmental community.

Max Hagenmeyer, Vice-chair
Max has been active with Cascadia Wild for the past 6 years; she is currently teaching naturalist skills and developing new programs. She has a BS in Biology, and has previously worked for the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Wildlife, monitoring and managing endangered bird populations, notably during the Buzzards Bay Oil Spill, which struck during nesting season. She also managed invasive plant species and developed habitat resoration methods for a private land trust. Most recently she managed invasive species plant populations in the Clackamas River Watershed through a joint program with Metro and The Nature Conservancy. Max enjoys developing her sustainable lifestyle, participating in the Cascadia Wild community, practicing tracking, identifying plants and birds, and observing nature.
